How we research
Our assessment
Service Fusion deserves a look when a growing service team needs to coordinate customer information, estimates, dispatch, and billing while comparing the cost for many users.
Its public pricing structure makes user count a useful starting point for comparison. The business still needs to check whether the proposed package contains the capabilities that make the move worthwhile.
The practical decision: can the office, field employee, and bookkeeper follow the same job without rebuilding its context at each handoff?
This review is source-based research and editorial analysis. It does not claim that every function has been tested inside your business.
Follow a job across the team
Start with a customer who has more than one service location. Create an estimate, revise it, schedule the accepted work, send the employee the relevant notes, and complete the invoice.
Inspect the dispatch decision
Put an urgent job into an already busy day. Ask which employee is suitable, which visit can move, and how each affected person learns about the change. Record the steps the office has to perform twice.
Inspect the field record
Ask a technician to open the job on their normal device, review prior notes, record work completed, and add an unexpected item. Then have another employee reconstruct the result from that record.
Inspect the accounting result
Include tax, a deposit, a partial payment, and an invoice correction. Bring the bookkeeper into the session and agree how conflicting customer or payment records are handled.
The current published pricing
The annual-billing monthly equivalents are Starter $208, Plus $325, and Pro $533, charged as one annual payment. Current monthly billing is $245, $382, and $627 respectively. The plan page lists unlimited users across the three tiers.
| Plan | Annual monthly equivalent | Monthly billing |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $208 | $245 |
| Plus | $325 | $382 |
| Pro | $533 | $627 |

Unlimited users can change a comparison at a larger team size. Use the same employees and required functions in each quote; otherwise the apparent saving may compare different configurations.
The Service Fusion pricing guide gives the cost questions a separate place in the shortlist.
Check the package around the job
The official comparison lists customer management, estimates, scheduling, invoicing, reporting, and QuickBooks integration in Starter. Inventory, job costing, and job photos are among the packaging decisions to check when moving up or adding tools. Pro includes further document, portal, and billing capabilities.
GPS fleet tracking and ServiceCall.ai appear as optional products on the plan page. Request separate prices and an explanation of how they join the daily process.
Inventory and cost control
If stock is central to your work, demonstrate a purchase, a transfer to a vehicle, an item used on the job, and a return. Review who corrects a wrong quantity and where that correction appears.
Documents and customer access
Bring the estimate, approval, invoice, and report your customer actually expects. Confirm the template, signature, and portal behaviour in the proposed plan rather than relying on a general feature label.
The work behind the implementation
A shared record needs clean customer data, usable service descriptions, sensible permissions, and someone responsible for the accounting handoff. Assign those responsibilities before launching.
Project work, recurring visits, and commercial accounts can each have different billing and documentation needs. Demonstrate them separately if they represent meaningful parts of the business.
A useful exception: close a job with missing information, reopen it, correct the cost, and update the invoice. Ask who is allowed to make each change and how others see it.
Keep the old record system accessible until balances, open work, and imported customer details have been reconciled.
A shared-record demo checklist
0 of 6 demo tasks checked.
Check each item only after the responsible employee has completed the task and explained the resulting record.
Compare the same team and same work
- Service Fusion vs Jobber — compare total cost and the path from a request to payment.
- Service Fusion vs Housecall Pro — put the same office and field tasks into both demos.
- ServiceTitan vs Service Fusion — include the implementation and reporting responsibilities.
- Service Fusion alternatives — widen the shortlist when an essential workflow remains unresolved.
Choose the differences that would change a purchase. A feature list should support that decision, not substitute for it.
Questions before choosing
Does unlimited users mean every capability is included?
No. User count and feature packaging are separate. Confirm the required tier and any optional products in the written quote.
Are the annual figures paid every month?
The public page describes them as monthly equivalents charged as one annual payment at sign-up. Confirm the invoice and current terms before committing.
Can an integration settle the accounting decision?
An integration name is a starting point. The bookkeeper should inspect realistic invoices, payments, corrections, and conflicting records.
How should we evaluate this review?
Use the assessment to plan a demo, then test it with your own employees and examples. It is based on public sources and editorial analysis.
